Walk in the park Dress weather appropriately and have a nice walk in the park with your baby. Talk to your baby about the things you see around and the sounds you hear. Touch some flowers or leaves together and see how they feel. There are so many things your baby can observe out there. You can even put some music on and dance together. Enjoy! Let’s blow some bubbles! Bubbles are fun and can also help a baby’s sensory development. The baby will follow them with their eyes, reach out to pop them and feel them on their skin. As your baby grows older, you can use different parts of the body and stomp with the feet or pop with the fingers and the nose. Kite and story time Let’s go fly a kite! You can combine it with a picnic and let your baby watch the kite while lying down on a picnic blanket. You can even make your own small kite using sticks and newspaper. Some story time can follow this activity. Reading a story outside, having the nature’s sound to accompany your voice is amazing! If there are similarities between the story and nature, remember to point them out (e.g. trees, flowers, birds, etc.). Splashing around. If you have a garden, fill a little baby pool, a plastic tray or a washbowl with water and let the baby splash. Depending on the season it can be the hands, legs or even the whole body. Put only a couple of inches and some pots and pans from the kitchen and let the fun begin! https://www.bbc.co.uk/tiny-happy-people/spending-time-outdoors/zrwt2sg *Never leave you baby unattended during these activities.
