Description

The Origami Art Animal Kingdom is a creative paper craft activity that introduces children to the traditional art of origami through a collection of colourful animal designs.

Children can fold and shape the specially designed papers, following the simple instructions to create their own animal characters. The hands-on process encourages patience and concentration while giving children the freedom to enjoy the satisfaction of making something with their own hands. Once finished, the animals can be displayed, collected or used to inspire imaginative stories and play.

What's Included

24 double-sided origami sheets that can fold into 6 different animal shapes (whale, beetle, rabbit, hen, owl, and pig)
4 sticker sheets

Educational Benefits

Fine Motor Skills: Folding, pressing and carefully shaping the paper helps strengthen little fingers and develop precise hand movements.

Hand-Eye Coordination: Following the folding lines encourages children to coordinate what they see with their hands as they work through each design.

Following Instructions: Working through each origami project step by step helps children practise sequencing, listening and following instructions independently.

Concentration: Origami encourages children to slow down and focus on each fold, supporting patience and sustained attention.

Problem-Solving: Working out how each fold changes the shape of the paper encourages children to think carefully and discover how the different pieces come together.

Creativity: Creating a collection of paper animals gives children the opportunity to explore a traditional craft while expressing their own creativity and imagination.
